SPEAK

SPEAK is a bold mixed media work on wooden canvas — 30" × 40" — that confronts the silence imposed on those who are feared, misunderstood, or reduced to an object rather than seen as a person.

"Speak was born from the premise that the majority of humanity has the defect of needing to categorize as a basis of understanding. Therefore, they often only see from the vantage point of pre-establish roles in a script they were given.

Instead, one should become present and open enough to receive what

they see without needing it to make sense in their movie. There has been invaluable information that the glaringly invisible people in the world have tried to share throughout the years. Messages. Viewpoints. Understanding. Enlightenment. All muzzled by a system that ensures others are never provided the framework for understanding them.

The invisible speak, yet are never heard.

This is because the grace required to process their truth is blocked by cloaks of fear and obsession.

Unadulterated, unconditional grace simply can’t find its way."

Created with layered mixed media techniques, this piece channels the urgency of self-expression as an act of resistance. It asks the viewer to sit with discomfort: whose voice has been suppressed? Whose humanity has been denied? SPEAK is both a declaration and an invitation — to look, to listen, and to reckon.
